In the United Methodist Church, every local congregation is encouraged to engage in the topic and struggle of Racism. Some churches have offered workshops, done book studies, brought in guest speakers. We have come across a highly acclaimed documentary on this subject matter.
Interweaving lecture, personal anecdotes, interviews, criminal defense/civil rights lawyer Jeffery Robinson draws a stark timeline of racism in the United States from slavery to the modern myth of a post-racial America.
